TOC hosts webinar on maximizing carbon sequestration in organic systems
The Organic Center hosted webinar on Friday, April 16, to share the latest science behind which organic practices offer the biggest impact on fighting climate change. Dr. Robert Crystal-Ornelas, co-author of this recently published research that looks within organic practices and builds on The Organic Center’s continued delivery on GRO Organic’s climate change and soil health portfolio, spoke with faciliator, Dr. Amber Sciligo, PhD, of The Organic Center. The research presented in this webinar not only highlights the areas where organic excels at locking greenhouse gas in the soil, but also identifies the areas that are having the biggest beneficial impact, allowing organic growers to maximize their climate change fighting power. The webinar was well attended by a diverse audience of nearly 260 people. If you missed the live event, you can access the recording HERE.
