The Organic Center shares benefits of organic in OPN interview
The Organic Center’s Director Dr. Jessica Shade was interviewed by the Organic Produce Network and spoke. Dr. Shade spoke to the benefits of organic to the health of people and the planet. Specifically she noted the science that shows how eating organic can reduce pesticide exposure and how farming organically reduces occupational exposure of pesticides to farmworkers and rural communities. Environmental benefits she highlighted included increased biodiversity, soil health, clean water and climate change mitigation.
