Virtual Town Hall Listening Session: How to reduce plastic in your part of the supply chain

Thursday, February 20 at 10 a.m. Pacific / 1 p.m. Eastern

The goal of this event is to listen to and learn from those in the organic supply chain who are trying, succeeding or even just wanting to reduce plastic in their daily work. This listening session will begin with a brief presentation of the background behind this work and the results from an informal industry survey by co-facilitators Mike Dill, Organically Grown Company and Dr. Amber Sciligo, The Organic Center. The remainder of the event will focus on presentations by attendees, who will each be given 2 minutes to share their thoughts and experiences about the desirability, feasibility and sustainability of reducing plastics in their part of the industry.

Attendees interested in sharing their stories should opt-in for this first come first served opportunity during registration by February 12th. Each speaker will have 2 minutes to share thoughts on any of the following topics:

What is the most critical/important plastic tool for your business/operation?  What is the most critical plastic tool you’re most challenged by finding sustainable alternatives?  What successful and innovative strategies have you implemented and reduced the amount of plastic in your operation?  What notable challenge have you faced in reducing, reusing, recycling, or disposing or plastic?  What is something people don’t typically consider about plastic waste reduction? All stakeholders are welcome to attend this Virtual Town Hall Listening Session.
