10.62 parts per million of penicillin was found in the muscle of a dairy cow from Idaho tested in 2009 by the USDA's Food Safety Inspection Service. The meat was sold and entered the food supply, despite an FDA tolerance applicable to penicillin in meat of 0.05 ppm.
